FP4 started midway through Saturday after the riders had already been on track in FP3. This session would not change anything in terms of Q1 and Q2, so riders and teams were free to fine-tune the details as they saw fit. In the end, Miguel Oliveira was the man responsible for recording the best lap.
With over ten minutes gone in this final practice session, Jack Miller (Ducati Lenovo Team) was the fastest rider with a time of 1:51.897. In this first half of the session, riders took to the track on rain tyres; As a general rule, the front tire chosen was medium whilst the soft rear was the preference of the majority.
Compared to the last session that took place, Q2 for Moto3, the track surface was third, and with 15 minutes to go Marc Márquez was on track for the first time.
At a stage where the clock indicated ten minutes to the checked flag, the top 10 were as follows:

Within minutes, Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) had climbed to the top of the timesheet, and Miller was relegated to third after Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) set the provisional second-best time. Last year’s champion had the best lap of 1:51.854s.
However, Miller responded with a time of 1:51.554 to set a gap of exactly three-tenths of a second to the Yamaha rider. By the end of the session the track was drier but not quite ready for the riders to put slick tires on their bikes.
In the closing stages of the session, Miguel Oliveira – on two medium tires – attacked and posted a lap of 1:50.750 to take an eight-tenths advantage over Miller. Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) also placed a Ducati inside the top three as he took third in the session. Franco Morbidelli (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) and Fabio Quartararo made the top five.
