History-making 2018 WorldSSP 300 Champion Ana Carrasco is poised for a switch to the Moto3 World Championship after reportedly striking a deal with the Boe SKX team.
The Spaniard has developed a global following after becoming the first woman to win an FIM World Championship series with her title in the novice production-based WorldSSP 300 series.
A seven-time race winner in the championship, Carrasco – who has stood atop the podium at least once in each of the five seasons she has campaigned – had been linked with a progression to the WorldSSP Championship through her association with Kawasaki, while she even got the chance to test a KRT Kawasaki ZX-10RR in 2019.
However, after a tough 2021 WorldSSP 300 season, Carrasco will instead switch back to the Moto3 World Championship she made her international racing debut in 2013.

Competing with the Laglisse team, Carrasco made history at the age of 16 by becoming the first woman to score points in the Grand Prix World Championship, peaking with a run to eighth in the Valencia GP finale.
Two tougher seasons followed to precede her move to WorldSSP 300, where her cheeky ‘Ride Like A Girl’ branding clapback has made her a firm fan favorite.
Though not officially confirmed as yet, Carrasco posted a photo on social media of her aboard the Boe SKX KTM she is expected to campaign.
She will be one of two women competing in the GP ranks, together with fellow Spaniard Maria Herrera, who will race in the 2022 MotoE World Cup.
