Jack Miller (Alma Pramac Racing) comes to the HJC Helmets Grand Prix de France with seven top ten finishes in a row – including a fourth in Argentina after starting from his very first premier class pole. It had previously looked like a shoulder injury ahead of the American GP might affect his form, but not as the “Jackass” finished ninth there and then beat him again with sixth in Spain. With a view to France, the upward curve could continue.
“My shoulder feels better again than it did in Jerez,” says Miller. “I had a good week of training and stayed out of anger …” All anger? Not exactly, but no training accidents or incidents happened to the Queenslander. “I cut my finger while cooking,” he admits – no less chop one zucchini, “but the rest is all good!”
That’s it, with Miller also praising the work they did during the official post-Spanish GP test – and looking forward to the race in France which, in his opinion, could be good for man and machine.
“Everything feels pretty good, we had a solid little test on the Monday after Jerez and we found some grip on the rear wheel, so I hope that will improve here – especially in the race. Creating passports should be a little easier. I’m looking forward to getting out of here, it’s a track I’ve usually done well on in the past and a track that I really like. I think it should also go well with the Ducati when braking and accelerating. “
