Leopard Racing wants to get into MotoGP; For two million euros, Viterbo Circuit will be the logistical base

Leopard Racing managed to hold the Viterbo International Circuit in Italy through a recent auction by placing a higher bid on Autocentri Balduina, which intended to use the structure for test drives for Porsche and the Volkswagen Group. The aim of this maneuver by the Moto3 team, which cost just over two million euros, is to create an unprecedented racing department and logistical basis for Leopard Racing. In the end, the goal is to have a structure that, according to sources at corsedimoto.com, enables the leap into MotoGP.

The team that should be in the worst shape right now is the WithU Yamaha RNF MotoGP team. Razlan Razali only has a one-year contract with Yamaha and has to give Lin Jarvis and the Japanese manufacturer a clear answer by June. Such a decision would have to be based on a sound financial structure with results, which in turn are the responsibility of Andrea Dovizioso; Darryn Binder as a rookie will have other worries.

It should be noted that Leopard Racing made its debut in 2015 and that year soon managed to make Danny Kent Moto3 World Champion against Miguel Oliveira, who was just six points behind. The following year made it into Moto2, but the Leopard brand only competed in the intermediate class that year. Since then he has focused on Moto3, where he saw Joan Mir (2017) and Lorenzo Dalla Porta (2019) as champions.
