Second place in the championship is already certain and Ducati’s constructors’ title, but Pecco Bagnaia’s work is not yet over. The title reserved for the MotoGP teams has yet to be won, but above all the Italian wants to end the year in the best possible way. Also because the track in Valencia has never been one of his best and he wants to break his curse there.
His best result at Ricardo Tormo was fourth in Moto2 in 2017, while he never got past eleventh in MotoGP. Bagnaia now seems to have replaced the results of the past and is looking forward to putting itself to the test at the last Grand Prix of the season.
“After the weekend in Portimão, I feel really charged for the last race of the season – he explained – At the last GP in Portugal everything was perfect. We’ve been fast since Friday and didn’t have to make any particular setup changes to the bike, so I hope that happens here in Valencia too. This is a track that I really like and in 2020, after two difficult GPs in Aragon, I had positive feelings again on my Desmosedici. This year we arrive in Valencia at a certain time when everything is going really well and I have a very good feeling with the bike. I’m ready to fight for victory again and try to get the team title after winning the constructors’ title last week. “
Miller is full of energy even after his return to the podium in Portugal and can contribute to the team title.
“Getting back on the podium at Portimão was really good and now the goal is to end the season fighting for another good result in Valencia – that’s Jack’s goal. I’m really looking forward to racing here again this weekend. It’s a really fun track and probably one of my favorites on the calendar. The Ducati’s characteristics are a good fit for this circuit and I was very close to winning last year so I’ll try again this year. After the constructors’ title, we have a chance to win the team title here, so I’ll do everything I can to help my team achieve that goal too! “
