Similar to last season’s championship finale, the battle for Bikesportnews.com’s MotoGP rider of the year 2021 was a close two-horse race.
Monster Energy Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo won the crown with 40% of the vote, while Ducati Lenovo’s Pecco Bagnaia kept him honest thanks to his 34% share.
Italian Jack Miller’s garage colleague finished just under third ahead of Pramac’s impressive rookie Jorge Martin, while Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez followed by just a few votes behind the top 5 of his comeback season despite ongoing injury rehabilitation.
