The great rider who was absent during the Sepang tests. Who are we talking about? Simple. Jorge Lorenzo. On January 20th, during a training session with a dirtbike in Verina, the Mallorcan ended up falling and fracturing the scaphoid bone of his left hand.
It was quite a change of plans for the Honda rider who was forced to undergo surgery, where they implanted a titanium nail in his bone to reduce the fracture. The injury, however, forced Lorenzo to miss the three days in Malaysia. While his colleagues were busy on the Asian track, he certainly didn’t just sit there and watch.
Once they removed his cast, the Honda rider started rehab so that he can be ready for the upcoming tests in Qatar, scheduled from February 23rd to 25th. These past few days, Lorenzo published several photos on his Instagram profile in which they were removing his stitches and even a video where he simulates riding his bike with his arms.
In less than twenty days, we’ll be able to know what his actual health conditions are.
