Fabio Quartararo may not have the best bike in the championship with Monster Energy Yamaha, but he is beginning to show some dominance in MotoGP. At the German GP he became the first to win two consecutive races in 2022 as he extended his lead over second-placed rider Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia) to 34 points.
Alex Criville stated in his usual analysis for Woonkly that Quartararo is very sure of himself and aware that he is unmatched, making up for the fact that the YZR-M1 is not the most competitive bike in the class:
– Fabio Quartararo has grown more this season than last. He is confident and has no solid rival this season. The fact that Marc Márquez is not here makes Fabio Quartararo know that there is no rider superior to him. Although he doesn’t have the best bike, he feels comfortable and he puts in the rest. This means that he is leading the overall MotoGP standings and winning races with ease and lately with some ease.
