Kayla Yaakov is a rising star in the MotoAmerica paddock and a force to be reckoned with in the SportbikeTrackGear.com Junior Cup class on her Altus Motorsports Kawasaki Ninja 400. Currently third in the championship point standings after the opening two races of the season at Road Atlanta, Yaakov looked to have her first career victory in the class before being docked two positions for passing under a yellow flag. Still, she was third in the race and was on the Junior Cup podium for the second time in her young career. Intelligent and well-spoken beyond her 14 years, it was a treat to catch up with her for a chat on this week’s Off Track With Carruthers And Bice.
