This is Brad Binder’s second season in the MotoGP World Championship, but Red Bull KTM still sees him as a rookie. The truth is that the 2020 season was very unusual due to the pandemic and did not include several routes that are usually part of the calendar. Some returned as early as 2021, but not all.
Mike Leitner, KTM team principal, told the MotoGP website that despite his inexperience in the premier class, he’s pleased with Binder’s hard work and determination:
– Brad did a great job in some places and had more trouble in others. But if you look closer, he was a rookie last year, but this year he’s still a rookie because it was the first time in Mugello, the first time at the Sachsenring, the first time in Assen. So he’s still a rookie in a way because last season was very special. And what we like about him is his determination and the Sunday performance he shows. Even if he is not as expected on Friday, he never gives up and is a highly talented rider.
