In the 2022 season, the MotoGP World Championship has eight Ducati in the squad – two from the official team and six from the satellites (Pramac, Gresini and Aramco Racing Team VR46 with two motorcycles each). For Carlo Pernat it is the right path that Ducati is taking.
The manager claims that Ducati can take on the young talents from the Moto2 World Championship with such a large presence in the premier class and looks to the future – with youngsters like Enea Bastianini, Jorge Martín or Marco Bezzecchi:
- Strategically, Ducati is not doing badly. The idea of having eight riders in MotoGP next year will allow the Italian manufacturer to regain a good chunk of the hopes of the Moto2 category that KTM cannot take on. Here too, Ducati is thinking of the future.
