Arai introduced a new Nicky reset graphic on their popular Arai Corsair-X helmet. The helmet design was worn by Nicky Hayden at the 2013 MotoGP test in Valencia and became an iconic design after just that one appearance. Since then it has received frequent fan requests, and now the graphic is being made available to the public.
The new Nicky Reset Arai Corsair-X will be available to consumers shortly.
According to Arai, the Corsair-X has a long history of being one of the most advanced, high quality helmets in the world. It is the culmination of Arai’s extensive helmet design experience and unwavering focus on rider protection. And with features like the sophisticated VAS shield mechanism, dramatically improved airflow and ventilation, and an odor-resistant lining, the Corsair-X certainly has its place as Arai flagship deserves.
“At some point after Nicky’s death, the family collectively agreed that we wanted to keep his memory and legacy alive to honor all that he had accomplished and touched in such a short time – said the Hayden family – One of the most famous things that we thought could be instantly associated with Nicky was his helmet replicas. Over the years Nicky has had dozens of designs that fans around the world wore while driving as a token of loyalty and respect for him.
For these fans, we decided to partner with Arai to continue the production of Nicky’s replicas. Without the fans and their continued loyalty and desire for new Nickys designs, we wouldn’t go on. But fans keep asking for Nicky replicas, so we’re forced to make them available.
Since his death, we’ve produced replicas that Nicky wore in the heat of competition and even brought back one of his all-time fan favorites – the Nicky Laguna. Now we have a demand for a fan favorite that Nicky wore but was never offered as a replica.

The reset was a special one-off design that Nicky only wore once during off-season testing in Valencia in 2013.
Back then there was talk of doing the reset to a replica, but for one reason or another it just never happened.
Now that the demand for a new design started to grow, we worked with Arai to check fan feedback and found some for the reset design. In view of the current world situation, we thought the idea of a reset was the perfect timing.
Hence, the Hayden family and Arai will once again honor Nicky’s memory and keep his legacy alive with this latest replica of Nicky Reset.
We’d like to thank all of the fans who asked for this design and who proudly wear it to keep Nicky’s memory alive. “
