The Repsol Honda Team and Pol Espargaro aim to end their season on a climax while Marc Marquez recovers at home.
Round 18 marks the end of the 2021 MotoGP World Championship, which began in Qatar in late March. During the season, the Repsol Honda Team achieved three wins, two more podiums and one pole position. Pol Espargaro would like to add to this balance sheet on one of his favorite tracks in the calendar.
The 30-year-old clinched his first podium in the premier class in Valencia in 2018 and took a pole position and two-thirds on the track in 2020. After four top ten placements in a row, the # 44 comes out in top form and is determined to start the off-season with another strong result. With 100 points, Espargaro is tenth overall in the championship standings, but with his brother Aleix Espargaro, who is only 13 points ahead, there is still a lot to gain in the last race.
It was revealed on Tuesday that Marc Marquez will miss both the Valencia Grand Prix and the Jerez Test due to double vision after a training accident.
