Pecco Bagnaia has been officially confirmed by the Ducati factory team for the MotoGP World Championship 2021, where he will be promoted from the Pramac Racing squad along with Jack Miller.
The Italian rides in the Satellite Ducati outfit in his second MotoGP season and has earned his promotion thanks to a strong performance in the first half of the 2020 season despite missing three laps due to injury.
Bagnaia peaked with his first podium result in Misano and almost came close to victory a week later on the same track, only to fall out of the lead with a few laps to go.
Nonetheless, the 2018 Moto2 World Champion had done enough to seal his move to the works squad, where he will replace Andrea Dovizioso and Danilo Petrucci along with Miller.

Her exit means that Pramac Racing will take on a new line-up for 2021, with Avintia Racing’s Johann Zarco and outstanding Moto2 star Jorge Martin making his premier class debut.
Zarco joins Pramac after a strong season so far with Avintia Racing – crowned by a pole position and a podium finish in Brno – one that may have considered him for the factory drive alongside Miller, only to take on the equally strong Bagnaia form.
Martin moves up to MotoGP at the end of his second season in Moto2, where he is currently contesting the title against, among others, Enea Bastianini, who will land the Avintia Racing ride cleared by Zarco.
