After two absolute debut tracks, the World Championships in Superbike, Supersport and Supersport 300 return this weekend to a familiar stage: Magny-Cours, for the trip to France that takes place when the Counts go crazy.
In the top tier, WSBK, Toprak Razgatlioglu (Pata Yamaha) and Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki) are at the top of the championship, and Scott Redding (Aruba.it Ducati) is at his best as he stood on the podium in the last seven races. A streak that leaves him in third place with 38 points from the command, so that he is fully in the fight for the title. The “gap” between the top 3 and the rest is considerable, as Alex Lowes (Kawasaki) is fourth, 104 points behind Redding.
At the WSBK, the scores are a little more one-sided in favor of Dominique Aegerter (Ten Kate Racing Yamaha), who, after dominating the Navarra race, is 47 points ahead of Steven Odendaal (Evan Bros. Yamaha). The fight for the title seems to be limited to these two, as third-placed Philipp Öttl (Kawasaki Puccetti) is already 54 points behind Odendaal.
The WSSP300 also has its accounts open. Adrián Huertas (MTM Kawasaki) missed the podium in Navarra and allowed Tom Booth-Amos (Fusport – Rt Motorsports by SKM Kawasaki) to be 11 points behind. Third placed Jeffrey Buis (MTM Kawasaki) is further away, 43 points behind the leaders.
