Calishine Racing’s Aden Thao, who competes in the SportbikeTrackGear.com Junior Cup Championship, will travel to Buriram, Thailand, where he will compete in the FIM Championship of Thailand at Chang International Circuit on December 9 through 12.
Thao will join the AVRP Racing Training Team, and he will compete aboard a Kawasaki Ninja 400. Thao’s trip to Thailand is the second part of a unique rider exchange program that Calishine Racing has established. This past summer, Calishine Racing hosted Axel Pedersen, who came to the U.S. from his home in Thailand, and he competed in the MotoAmerica Junior Cup Championship at the Brainerd International Raceway and Pittsburgh International Race Complex rounds.
“Each year, our plan is to bring riders from Thailand over to America and have them race in the MotoAmerica Championship,” commented Calishine Racing team owner Lo Thao. “Axel was the first of those riders to join us here in the U.S., and we are working on having several riders from Thailand competing in MotoAmerica in 2022 and beyond. The MotoAmerica Series and name are held in very high regard in Thailand, and we’re proud to be ambassadors for MotoAmerica.”
About his upcoming trip to Chang International Circuit, Aden Thao said, “I am extremely excited to represent the U.S. and MotoAmerica in Thailand. I’m looking forward to racing at Chang international Circuit. It’s an amazing track, and the people of Thailand are huge fans of motorcycle road racing.”
