The Spaniard told the MotoGP official website that he would rather go to a different paddock than go to Moto2 if he couldn’t stay in MotoGP:

I have offers from Moto2 and other championships, but my goal is to stay here in MotoGP. If I can’t stay here, I think I’ll switch leagues. My goal is to keep going with big speed bikes. I don’t know what will happen in the future, I have to wait. But right now my goal is to stay focused to end the year.
