Joan Mir started the 2021 season with a smile on her face and the title in his too. The title defense began with fourth place in Doha, but the long-awaited victory was not to come this season.
The Mallorcan now spoke about his season and how the results didn’t show up:
– This year didn’t go well for me. I didn’t really enjoy the races. It took me a lot to do my best. I couldn’t have done more, but I was expecting more. I’m here to win, not fight for the podium
The Suzuki rider did not win this year despite having made six podiums. The first time he was in Portimão, where he finished third on his first MotoGP visit this season in Portugal.
