Alex Rins started the day of racing for the Misano MotoGP in perfect style by leading the morning warm-up despite several canceled lap times due to track limits being exceeded.

Not for the first time this season, Marc Marquez decided to stay in the garage and save energy at the beginning of the warm-up. .
With unsafe weather expected throughout the day of the race, several drivers scrubbed a set of rain tires including Marquez, Rins and Jack Miller to name a few.
Ducati test rider Michele Pirro was leading after the first few laps before Rins and Fabio Quartararo appeared to be the fastest halfway through the session.

However, the pair exceeded the track limits at the Curvone exit (Turn 10), a common topic during the morning’s session.
Quartararo managed to improve further on his next lap, taking it to the top, while Rins finished second behind the Yamaha rider.

Rins was then dropped a second lap late while KTM’s Brad Binder made his usual race day improvements and finished fifth with four minutes remaining.
However, it wasn’t over for Rins when he finished first with a 1: 32.521 seconds ahead of Quartararo.
Rins’ team-mate Joan Mir made a good final attempt to get two Suzukis into the top four, while pole-sitter Francesco Bagnaia finished third.
Aleix Espargaro finished fifth for Aprilia while Miller led Pirro in seventh. The top ten were rounded off by Enea Bastianini, Binder and the top Honda Stefan Bradl.
