A false positive test ruined Nicolò Bulega’s test days in Portimao. All pun intended, because the Gresini team driver is in excellent health, but ended up in quarantine in Portugal. Nicolò had managed to do just a few laps on the first day of testing at the Algarve Autodrom when he received his swab result which was positive, so he was quarantined only to find out it was a false positive result.
“Unfortunately, for one reason or another, I wasn’t on the track much in these tests, so I have practically no references. It’s a shame because there was a lot to do. The competitiveness on the track is very high and we have to work hard in Qatar to recover.“Explained Bulega. On the first day he only managed 38 laps.
Things went better for his teammate Fabio Di Giannantonio, who got a 6 at the end of the two test days.in which many Moto2 teams participated.
“It’s been two tough days with a lot of work and, to be honest, still a lot to do,” commented Diggia. “We all have to fit in a little more, but we’re getting better every day. We are constantly growing and that is very positive. We’re still a bit far, but I think the three days in Losail will be fundamental, even considering that we found an interesting direction at the end of the day. I’m excited.”
