The MotoGP season has so far gone according to plan, with the exception of the cancellation of the Finnish GP, which was promptly replaced by a double at the Red Bull Ring. At the moment all European races have been confirmed and the race shouldn’t be a problem as the spectators can watch in person how it will happen in Barcelona and how it will also happen in Assen.
But what is not yet certain are overseas travel. Although it’s not official yet, Australia, Argentina, Japan and Thailand will skip the round this year. Austin, on the other hand, wants to host the Grand Prix, maybe even two. In fact, a double in Texas is being considered, also to justify the logistical costs of a trip to the States.
What is still in the air, however, is the Malaysian GP. Sepang would like to organize the race, but the pandemic will make the decision for them. So if this lap is canceled, the Misano circuit could host two Grand Prix races like last year.
