Andrea Dovizioso won the Austrian GP on Sunday, which was suspended with a red flag because of a MotoGP crash, which was among the scariest in Premier Series history.
During a race at speeds of 200 mph, Johann Zarco and Franco Morbidelli collided at Turn 3 with 20 laps remaining in the race (see video above).
Both riders fell a few tens of meters through the grass and gravel pits as their motorcycles scattered debris across the track.
Zarco and Mobidelli were able to leave the wreck. Mobidelli was taken to the care center and declared fit to drive.
Dovizioso clinched the 50th victory in the most important MotoGP series for Ducati. Joan Mir finished second (his first MotoGP podium), followed by Jack Miller.
Rookie Brad Binder, who celebrated his first career win in Brno last week, and Valentino Rossi, who missed the crash between Zarco and Mobidelli by just inches, completed the top 5.
Absolutely terrifying !!!
