Pol Espargaro took Honda’s pole position of the season with an impressive qualifying performance, beating Ducati’s Francesco Bagnaia and championship leaders Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha).
Jorge Martin made it from Q1 to fourth qualifying on the Pramac, while Marc Marquez rounded off a strong qualifying for Honda in fifth.
Cal Crutchlow, who replaces the displaced Maverick Vinales at Yamaha, is 19th on the grid.
