Brad Binder signs new long-term KTM MotoGP deal until 2024

KTM Factory Racing has announced that Brad Binder will remain on their team for an additional three seasons until the end of the MotoGP World Championship in 2024, extending a partnership that will span 10 years.

Binder made his MotoGP debut with KTM in 2020 and quickly hit the headlines with a shock victory on only his third start at the Czech MotoGP in Brno.

Also as KTM’s first MotoGP victory, although the rest of Binder’s rookie campaign didn’t reach these heights, a series of strong placements earned him 11th overall.

Binder, who had already signed until the end of 2021, who was originally supposed to switch to Tech 3 last season before being promoted to the works squad instead of Johann Zarco before his debut, will now receive another three seasons in orange.

“I’m super, super happy to have signed with KTM for three more seasons again and it will take up to ten years. It’s incredible to have been with this manufacturer for so long and we’ve always had a good relationship.

“I’m very happy with the KTM colors, so it’s especially gratifying to have signed a long contract. It’s cool to have that belief and support from a company. It is a honor. From now on we can focus on building ourselves forward.

“We’re not too far away and it would be really nice to do something great together. It is exciting to see what the next few years will bring. “

That means Binder will have competed as a KTM rider for a decade by the end of 2024, starting in Moto3 – where he was the title winner in 2016 – before moving up to Moto2 and then MotoGP.

With KTM’s strategy of promoting talent through the ranks, the strength of Binder and his two-time team-mate Miguel Oliveira is paying off. KTM Motorsports Director Pit Beirer is proud to be working on this investment for three more years.

“This was a very easy contract for us because we love Brad as a racer and what he brings to the team, the factory and the MotoGP class. He was also very enthusiastic to be involved with us and that says a lot for our progress and our potential in this championship.

“Sometimes you find a racing driver and a mentality that really fits your philosophy and the fact that Brad has come to the top with us in ten years is a very special story. We are really proud to continue racing with him and to keep setting new goals together. “
