The Frenchman was the last driver to leave the pit lane after standing in the pit for the first ten minutes.
Zarco will start today’s race in second place behind his rookie team-mate Jorge Martin.
Second and third were Fabio Quartararo’s Monster Energy Yamahas in second place and championship leader Maverick Vinales in third place.

Quartararo had the fastest time for most of the session before his compatriots took over the top of the rankings with four minutes to go.
Fourth was Franco Morbidelli, another Yamaha that had had a difficult weekend so far.

It was a better start to race day for the 2020 runners-up, however, and he’s hoping to take a similar position in the race.
Pole-sitter Jorge Martin landed in fifth place, because the Pramac riders were once again the fastest of the six Ducati motorcycles.
Right behind the Spaniard in sixth was Francesco Bagnaia, from whom he will also start the race.
Reigning world champion Joan Mir landed in seventh place, ahead of Aleix Espargaro and team mate Alex Rins in eighth and ninth respectively.
The top ten finished with Takaaki Nakagami’s best-placed Honda, who will start today’s race in sixteenth place.
Conditions were much calmer for the riders during the warm up than the strong winds yesterday and this is expected to remain so, which will be a very welcome sight for all.
